16th Annual Celebration of the `Ukulele!

Entrance Donation: $7.00 Adults, children under 5yrs. free

Call for Performers
DEADLINE: February 28, 2009.  Performers of all ages & skill levels are invited.
Important Note: Each year we receive applications exceeding the number of performance slots.  Each performance slot must feature the `ukulele and is limited to 10 minutes.  The Committee will notify selected performers by March 15, 2009.

`Ukulele Festival/PICA Scholarship
DEADLINE: March 15, 2009.  Award: $500.  Eligibility: Applicant must be an active participant in a Pacific Islander (Polynesian, Melanesian, Micronesian) cultural class, program or activity and currently enrolled as a high school senior or college student.  This scholarship is made available by the Pacific Islanders' Cultural Association (PICA) and the `Ukulele Festival of Northern California.

It is sponsored by the Hayward Unified School District and the Hayward Adult School in collaboration with Kaleponi Strings `Ukulele Class and Na Hawai`i `O Kaleponi Dancers.
