Mahalo for your interest in advertising at the 21th Annual Bay Area Aloha Festival 2016!
This year Pacific Islanders’ Cultural Association (PICA) is celebrating its 21th Anniversary. When PICA held its first event at Crissy Field in San Francisco in July of 1995, it was to welcome the Hokule’a voyaging canoe to our California shores. There were 60,000 who attended that event to join the Northern California Outrigger Canoe Association in this remarkable effort. PICA was a fledging organization established to bring the Pacific islanders’ together in a joint effort to promote the cultures of Polynesia, Micronesia and Melanesia.
We believe we have come a long way in accomplishing that goal. With your continued support, we will remain diligent in our efforts to celebrate together by sharing our diverse cultures and by encouraging our young people to commit to higher goals, with academic scholarships that we award every year at our annual festival. To date we have been able to award over $50,000.00 to deserving students.
We sincerely thank you for your support, and hope that you will continue to support PICA’s Bay Area Aloha Festival.
